Micro / Nanoneedling

Also known as collagen-induction therapy, microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure in which micro-punctures are created using tiny, sterilized needles in order to stimulate the natural production of collagen. Microneedling works by causing microtrauma to the skin, which signals the body to send collagen, elastin, and microcirculation to the face to heal, repair, and glow.

Treatment Plan

Microneedling is done once a month, to give the dermis ample time to heal and produce collagen, and usually requires at least 4 treatments to see results. Results can last up to 5 years but we recommend facial acupuncture in between treatments for long-lasting results. Maintenance treatments depend on the individual.

How to prepare for my treatment

Just a few things to take note of before we start:

  • Blood thinning medications and supplements should be paused at least 3 days prior to treatment (prescriptions, ibuprofen, baby aspirin, fish oils, etc.)

  • Acne prescriptions like Accutane should be stopped at least 6 months prior to treatment

  • Try to avoid agents that increase the sensitivity of your skin
